Pink Shirt DayPINK SHIRT DAY 2012
TAKE A STAND AGAINST BULLYING
CLICK HERE TO MAKE A PLEDGE ![]() We are excited to announce that Pink Shirt Day is scheduled for Wednesday, February 29th, 2012! In anticipation of this important event where we rally the community to take a stand against bullying, we are planning a pledge campaign. From now until the end of January 2012 the Boys & Girls Club of Lethbridge & District will be collecting pledges from motivated businesses and individuals with the intent of purchasing and distributing as many official pink shirts as possible to children in our community. The goal is to ensure all kids in elementary school receive a pink shirt to stop bullying at a young age and prevent the development of this damaging behaviour. The Pink Shirt pledge campaign starts during the month of November in recognition of Family Violence Prevention Month and National Bullying Awareness Week. Alberta Children and Youth Services has also developed a community resource toolkit that includes tools and resources to build awareness about family violence and bullying.
We look forward to your support as we prepare for Pink Shirt Day 2012 and we encourage you to get involved in this campaign in as many ways as you can. Together, we can create a lasting impact to reduce and eliminate this destructive behavior in our communities.
