Kinder Club Program

The Boys & Girls Club is excited to announce that we are expanding to offer more licensed Kinder Club locations in Lethbridge and surrounding area to meet the demand for before and after school care. Leave your child knowing that when they are not in school they are being cared for by the most educated and skilled youth workers in the area. All of our leaders undergo rigorous training and certification that is ongoing throughout their careers as well as criminal record checks, first aid, class 4 driver’s license, medicals and top notch credentials. We are taking care of your children so we demand the best for them.

The Kinder Club program is essentially play based. Children learn through open ended play with an emphasis on recreation and healthy living, so there will be a variety of “play” areas and activities available for the children. These play areas enhance learning e.g., water area, sand area, dramatic play area, literacy area, art area, and block area. The different activities and play areas will be planned, implemented, and catered to the children’s interest. Gym and Library time will also be incorporated into our programing. On nice days we will be able to play outside.

An afternoon snack is provided that includes at least two of the major food groups as recommended by Canada’s Food Guide. Please pack a lunch for your child and provide a water container for outdoor play.

The kindergarten program is offered both in the morning and afternoon (depending on the location chosen). If your child attends kindergarten in the afternoon, you would register them for the morning class. You may drop them off any time after 7 am. They will be taken to school for the afternoon class then picked up afterwards and brought back to the kindergarten room for you to pick up by 6 pm.

All PD days and extended holidays (Christmas, Easter etc) are included.

ENROLLMENT FOR THE 2012/2013 KINDER CLUB PROGRAMS WILL BEGIN IN THE SPRING. IN THE MEANTIME, YOU CAN PRE-REGISTER FOR KINDER CLUB BY CLICKING ON THE APPROPRIATE FORM BELOW
